Over 30 Years of Service
“I’ve been here at SWP since 1988, full time,” said Jim Tenbusch. “I worked under my dad’s tutelage. And he retired at 60, but he never left until he was 76. So, I gained a lot of his knowledge and a lot of his wisdom, some of his sense of humor. But, I also understand there are sometimes things that aren’t in our realm that we have to go outside to get original ideas on how we want to do things. And I’m not averse to doing that.
“I asked questions all the time. I want to know how things work. I went to Michigan Tech University. I didn’t graduate. I was one of those people that at some point; I decided school wasn’t for me anymore, and I needed to work. So, my first job out of college was working for a pultrusion company in the Detroit area, and my dad drew on my knowledge to understand how pultrusion worked before we made our composite shapes.”
