For Stephan Wood Product’s fiberglass resin product, it’s all about the elements.
Composite Decking vs Wood
Natural wood will twist, warp, cup, absorb moisture, and split on the ends. Plus, wood doesn’t always hold paint. If you put a natural wood deck down and decide that you’re going to stain it or seal it, you’re going to be doing it every 2 or 3 years. Unlike our composite material, wood doesn’t have any UV properties to protect it from sunlight.
If you put our composite material down, you’re done with it. It will not warp or crack. In fact, given its military use, you would have to do something drastic to destroy it.
